Man Is The Media.
Stol, now live and with real people
June 30th, 2007 by Martin
For any of you who took interest in my side-kick project, STOL, you’d be happy to know that it’s finally entering the public sphere as a live act. Working, as it were, on this project since 2000, I’m proud to say that we’ve now found three additional musicians who will help us make the inaugural act come alive on Denmark’s biggest underground festival, Nakke (‘Neck Festival’).
We’ve completely rebuild all our tracks to become more live-like. Apart from another couple of tech-wizards, we’ve found this great guitarist in the flesh and the blood who adds that much needed human touch. Stealing like a five-armed man from Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus and God Machine, I’ve always written the lyrics with a bleeding guitar in the back of my head.
So, the inspirational matter will be honored in the live versions, but you probably should prepare yourself for a sound somewhat like Bela Lugosi freaking out to a Nitzer Ebb show … on ‘roids.
Details and studio versions on our site, stol.nu, where I will put video and stuff from the concert (20 July) soon.
