Get Started With A Digital Publishing Strategy
For publishers interested in tips to how to get started with a digital publishing strategy, I wrote a very hands-on post on the Issuu blog. It has a lot of examples and cases, which hopefully can inspire anyone wanting to take a crack at getting their publications (excerpts, promotional/free publications and marketing material/catalogs) online and viral.
It’s a lengthy post, so here’s the short version (unrelated to Issuu where possible):
(1) Upload your content to a digital publishing service, (2) it’s the most effective shortcut to Google love, provided the service has a high Google rank. (3) You content can be embedded just like a YouTube video, and it’s basically the equivalent to a movie trailer. (4) Don’t leave your back catalog unused, make sure to upload all of it to market your brand and (6) get stats about readers. Stats is one advantage digital has over print, another is (5) active links. (7) Issuu Smart Look can replace all the PDFs you have on your website, and (8) Issuu Platform can make it look great.
